Fuel pump shopping help

I guess i need a new fuel pump for my rx8 im not even sure how to go about looking for one its either the full assembly or generic replacement pump does anyone know a good place i can get just the pump from that isnt generic or does anyone know any good aftermarket ones that are direct swap thats relativly cheap? Help would be greatly appreciated all i can find are amazon and ebay ones and dont feel comfortable buying any of those.

Just get the correct airtex pump assembly from any reputable autoparts store. Try Advance Autoparts and use the HUGE50 discount code to get $50.00 off.

Advances replacement is a carquest pump i guess. does it make a huge difference?

What do you mean by make a difference? Unless you are installing a Turbo the stock pump is fine. The pumps on the market today are the improved S2 style pump so it is an upgrade over the old style S1 pump.

I ment does it being a carquest (advanced auto brand) instead of an airtex make a difference? Quality wise. Whats a good pump for fi im still on the fence with weither or not to turbo it. And if im understanding the comparison correctly the newer pumps from the store are upgraded s1 pumps? So i dont need to get a s2 and modify it?

I bought a carter one off rock auto for 157... hopefully it works out
