thanks

i dont need this fricken stress right now. I have the flu and a heart problem my blood pressure is going to blow. If it is teh engine ill tell them keep teh damm car and ill trade it in for something else.

I love this car but i cant take it anymore.

also what is really annoying is they are blaming me when i did nothin.

also my car was in service on thursday i drove all day thursday( no rain it was dry out) after i got my oil change. On friday i parked my car in the garage and kept it there till sunday becuase of the jeane. i try to start it on sunday no avail so i call triple a and tehy pick it up 7:00 am in teh morning.

Settle down, settle down...

Something doesn't add up here. They cannot blame you for water ingestion if you were not driving in the rain. Is that what they are saying?

If it was rain, what can happen is that water can sit in the intake somewhere (I'm talking about a stock system here), then one day when you go to start the engine it goes "SLURP!!" and sucks up that water in one go. This can happen days after the water entered the system.

So the questions to be asked are:
Did you drive in heavy rain or through water before you had your starting problem?
Did the dealer find any water in your intake system/manifold?

If you say you didn't drive through rain, or a big puddle even, I don't understand how the dealer can suggest the damage is your fault. What are they basing their judgement on? Can you ask them?

they are basing it on the 3 hurricanes probably. which is a good assumption BUT in his case doesnt sound true. especially if he was just in there for service.

I just got off the phone with Daniel. He called Mazda NA and they called the dealer. MNA told him to pickup his car and if any further issues arise from this he will not be held Liable. The dealer says the car is running fine now.

Sorry guys Daniel is eclps0. I was helping him out over the phone. He called Mazda North america and they called the dealer. The dealer said the car is running fine now but had water in the system. Mazda North America called Eclps0 back telling him he could go get his car and if the motor dies he will not be responsible for the repairs or new engine.

No kidding... so condensation in the exhaust system is now a symptom of water sucked into the motor?! I wouldn't be going back to that dealer anytime soon...
