If the solenoid is clicking it's not gonna start. Get a jump

Exactly. Sounds just like a nearly dead battery to me.

make sure you are connecting the jumpers correctly.

Ask your friend when he smelled the oil what level of oil/fuel ratio he estimates bases on a sniff test.

trust me guys i had a mitsu eclipse which would always die i know how to jump a car. Now with the oil it smelled like more gas. after i tried cranking it i would step out of the car and smell lots of gas. Also when it cranks it wont turn over and its a nails against chalk board sound ( sounds like the seals grinding against the walls) my friend with the 2nd gen said if the engine gets flooded enough it will wash away all of the oil which lubes the seals and housings so basically what is happening when i crank the engine is the seals are digging into the housing or chattering. Which in turn means rebuild with new seals./ rotors or a new engine.

also the lights and everything else were off so my bad was good it was only sitting for a day in my garage during the huricane

That makes me wonder about the secondary VFAD flap-actuated intake duct that sucks from down low in front of the radiator... it wouldn't take too much water (less than 1 foot?) to get that duct underwater, but it would seem to me that with the primary air duct dry and sucking more air, you'd really have to be revving high and hard to get water sucked up there (7250RPM+).

I'm not sure where the primary duct is height-wise, but I would imagine that would really take some deep water to get you into trouble.
