Yeah but he has the K&n intake. So there is no suction in the VFAD tract.

It depends on what they meant by "water" If it was coolant then it is a warranty issue. I just don't see how he got water into the system. Unless Danny boy drove it into a pool.

Of course not... unless the water is really coolant from a bad seal.

It's not like the engine can hydro-lock.

I've never seen it anyway

I would think anything that compresses an air/fuel mixture can hydro-lock. Water won't go from ten parts to one part (10:1 CR).

I agree with that but I think this car would just stop or it would have to break the excentic shaft?

Maybe shear the teeth off the rotor?

Tell them to check the block. Tell them you have heard this happening to some people. The only way to get water in the combustion chamber is either it was by the intake or a cracked water jacket in the aluminium houseing. Tell them again to check and get ready to call Mazda North America.

I'd love to be the guy looking at your car right now...well not in hurricane ravaged Fla..

As I see it they need to show you how you got water in your engine or fix it under warranty. I'd like to see the water the came out and see if it had coolant in it or if it was clear/dirty like rain water.

Worse case you will need to contact you agent and start a claim.
