I dont really believe any of their claims. It might help a bit but dont expect magic. Its fun to try them tho.
I will try ICE again sometime in the future ... NYC has been pouring rain for the past 4-5 days ... another 3-4 days to go.

I tried both ICE and WW a while ago. When ICE still cost only 8.99 (now its freaking 14.99 !! yikes!)

There are things that help, but its already found in most if not all coolant. Hell I still believe Water is the best. Too bad water pump saids no.
Im buying ICE just for fun.
Gonna do a complete flush, fill it with 50/50, drive it around for a while before I add ICE into it.

Whats so wrong with regular coolant? Are all of you having that many problems with the coolant fan running too often or something? I'm so confused as to why you would even bother. Heat is what makes power....Thats why the thermostat doesn't open until the coolant has reached a high enough heat. If you are having a problem with your coolant being too warm...switch up the thermostat for one with a lower heat rating so it opens more frequent. I personally have never seen my temperatures anywhere to be worried about.

Water is way better, but you can't just run water. So people are looking for options.
Some people run WW + Water. but if WW doesnt really work and might cause problems (Some brownish stuff forming) then ICE might be another choice.

Because Regular Coolant is not good enough.

No I still mean the 50/50 dillution, but more the same **** that came in the car from the factory. My point was you guys are complaining about bad things happening and prices being to high. Why are you even adding in the first place. What issues are you having?

wow,
i know you are not going to believe this. but my car did fine with the doomed product mentioned. and 8 qts of distilled h20. 2qts of coolant. and 1 BOTTLE OF WATER WETTER. it was a track weekend. temps did not get over 195 deg. the whole weekend.
all was good.

The trade off is the cooling ability of the liquid. The issue is you cannot run straight water as it will rust and could contain minerals or other critters that will grow in your coolant system. Plus you want something to keep the water pump lubricated.
Water wetter provides the lubrication needed as well as protection from rust.
I have ran water wetter for several years and I can't say the car has been harmed by it. Still, the listed information makes me want to try something different. Even just adding 10% coolant to the water would probably be fine.
Those of us living in hot climates need serious cooling capacity. It was 101 in Phoenix today and my water temps were 215 while sitting in traffic.

Yeah I just put in a bottle before my trip to NY..so I guess I've used it no more than 1000 miles? Thing is, I'm replacing my radiator, water pump, and thermostat next month..That being said, I don't think I'll be putting in water wetter when I put in my new stuff. Thanks for the post.

What pointy ears?
Haven't tried WW or Ice, but last summer I added a bottle of DEI Radiator Relief (same purpose as WW and Ice) to the coolant (at 60% water mixture) just out of curiosity ... didn't seem to do much from my experience. I'm of the opinion that if your radiator cooling system is in good shape, you probably won't see much, if any, cooling improvement for every-day driving. Track use may differ, though

I've used water wetter since my first coolant flush about 2 years and nearly 30,000 miles ago. I pulled a coolant line a few months back to inspect and it was pristine. I've never had the scum that some people have reported either. My feeling is WaterWetter probably dislodges corrosion that is already in the system, but I have no proof of that.

no brown sludge in my coolant system.
I use 70% water, 30% coolant + 1 bottle of Water Wetter.
All is well.
I was in Vegas a few weeks back, never even got close to overheating.
