Trouble starting and no power over 5,000 rpms
Okay, so I've done some research on this topic and really only found a few people with similar problems. So heres whats going on:
I was driving about a week ago, and I noticed I wasnt getting much power over 5,000 rpms. I also began to hear a raspier tone to my exhuast. Since then I've tried not to drive it as much until i can take it in . I found that I was low on oil, and gave it some oil. It has been weak on starting the car since all of this happened. Whats the verdict guys?
I also heard about a recall of sorts? Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks

^How do you figure? Powetrain warranty is 5yr/60000 mile. Also, the engine warranty was upped to 8yr/100k miles. You're good, take it in. Sounds like the starter for your start issues and coils and plugs for your no power. There was a major recall for lack of power, look it up, there are tons of threads!

You can get the parts for about(get spark plug wires too) $250. It takes about an hour and a half to do it at most, very simple. Got a buddy for support?

paid 650 for everything, plus they noticed i had the old motor mounts so they replaced that too. i would have done it myself, but it was already in Long beach (1 hr away). Ill do it myself next time, but it was DEFINATELY the coils and plugs. Thanks again everyone for pitching in
