I did run it short yesterday after changing brake pads and moving it back into the garage but thought it was a warmed up enough. I've never had a flooded episode with my RX8 so not quite sure if it is or not. The first turnover it was just dead, no sound but all gauges and lights were very bright so it looked like the battery is fine. I tried again using the "flooded start" procedure in the manual and when I turn the key, the engine clicks very fast. Tried again three more times using accelerator pushed in all the way and also not pushed in at all and all I get is the fast clicking of the engine.

Any advice is appreciated.

 

either the battery is low, (has enough voltage to operate guages and such, but not enough to turn starter) or starter is bad. try charging the battery, if that doesnt work, take it to the dealer

 

its flooded, i had to take off the front left wheel in myy driveway pull the fuel pump and injector fuse. yank off the spark plug wires, wratchet out the plugs and crank motor to eject gas. then put everything back, start it up and enjoy the smoke show.
