Hey George, I thought you were gonna post the A/F like I asked?

I'm more interested in that than the other numbers.

I bet mine is running leaner, hence more power.

i think the reason the modded 8's produced less power is because of the check engine light. I know for a fact that my check engine light was blinking. It is either becasue of the flywheel, pulley, or my straight pipe.
Maybe next time i dyno my car it'll do better. since i will have changed my coil packs, wires, plugs, tires with tread, and reset my pcm before dyno'ing my car. so the check engine light won't be on. therefore, won't really hurt performance as badly(hopefully)

i was going to do all that. then it hit me why.
i dont race i dont auto cross, i go on group drives
once a month. my car runs smooth. i don't feel i need
all that. if it's just to dyno higher i'll give the guy an extra
$20.00 just to tweak the pc for me. that would be alot cheaper.
then i would have a secret, right razz.. ha ha ha ha

Peter, your CEL has nothing to do with the flywheel. It may be related to the Agency Pulley. Read the Pulley, pulley, pully thread and there is a link of a guy with the same pulley kit, and he had CEL issues. He had a fix for it. I don't recall what it was, but it did fix the issue. If that doesn't solve it, it has to be the midpipe.

I don't think peterisurhero's tires are going to make a differance.

I bet your tires weren't as bald as mine. Ur still are.........

No tread pure flat slick.

all i got was the intake so my number wasnt every high. i guess i will start building up my 8. i will get an exhaust and probably aftermarket cat first..i was looking at the b&b exhaust. any suggestion on the exhaust and cat? Later down the future, hopefully in the nearby future - get the mazsport turbo. that turbo got some nice result over the greddy. boosting at 8ps give u 299whp..my goal hopefully 350whp..that would be sweet

all exhausts are almost the same. go either for borla, b&b, or agency. i think those give the most hp out of all.
as for the cat, if you dont care about getting a cel, go catless midpipe. if you buy the agency power exhaust, it comes with the catless midpipe. if you want a cat, go with the highflow cat from rotary performance. or i hitnk rx7store.net has one too.

i probably will order the b&b first and then get the highflow cat from rx8store..nice to see our car can gain around 15 whp with just intake, cat n exhaust..way more then i expected

Yeah BRGreen only beat me by a couple HP not much, I beat him in torque, but what is weird is the fact that both AT almost beat everyone in the Torque area. I would love to take a ride with the guy that has the turbo. I want to see how hard the 8 pulls with that HP.

well i think AT's usually have more torque than MT's. they need the torque to get that smooth feel going. (From what im aware of)

BUMP for a very info packed thread!

Some of you may know my comp is completely shot, as I can barely even post here, so videos from the dyno day are still going to be delayed. Sorry

thanks Brettus!

This was definitely a LOT of fun and it does give people some idea of what they can expect from their cars and some mods.
