A lot of cheap meters only go up to 2M ohms.
I used a Fluke while checking mine and measured 2.5M ohms.
Its possible your meter couldn't handle it.
I used a very expensive LG my roommate had from school.. I forget what they ohm'd at I just remember going hmm guess its not the coils because these read fine. then a few months later I replaced them anyway, my idle got much smoother along with my butt dyno numbers. as a rule of thumb I always say if you have a concern replace it.. Unless you have no cash then try and use zip ties and duct tape.
