Shrieky fuel pump
Anyone else noticed this?
Sounds like there is a small wailing animal trapped underneath the rear seat.. you know, typical fuel pump noise. It happens on startup, and will persist until the car is shut down and restarted.
I haven't noticed any problems with the driveability of the car even when its making the infernal racket. Taking the car in for the 2 recalls next week, so I might have them see if they can tell me whats up then..

The only cars I've ever been able to hear the fuel pump in is some Fords (eg: a '91 mustang). I've never heard it in my '8 so I would definately mention it to the dealer...
