Where are you getting "replaced" from in anything I've said?

Seriously, how do you get through your day being so angry? It must be really difficult.

What does how many RX-8s I've owned or how many engines I've had (7, BTW) have to do with it? You know nothing about what I do or for whom, so don't speculate.

Mazda stopped making S1 housings in October. Whether or not they start making them again doesn't help anyone right now. When the S1 housings become available again, I'm sure everyone will be happy. I know I will.

BTW - Is English your first language? I'd hate to think that all this "talking past" stuff is just because you don't understand me.

B..Hell..

You said 'that's all that's available anymore, anyway' ....this advice is NOT CORRECT!

You should have said...these S1 housings are Temporally Out of Stock and (if correct, I have to take your word) are on back order..

I will let you know when I have more information available..

BTW: just in..Plenty of S1 housing in Australia (just had it confirmed)...would you like some..??

..Me the angry one....HA that is a laugh...you are the one who needs a reality check, most of your posts put others offside...I wonder why...they don't understand your English or Attitude??

Again, you aren't actually reading me and, instead, just making up whatever thing you feel like arguing about.
I'm sure there is some new-old stock in backwaters like OZ. There just isn't any new production.
So, for those of us that get our stuff directly from the source instead of the retail shelf, there aren't any left.
Talk to RB, MT and the like. They have the same dilemma.
Walthall has a backlog because of this, too.

Exactly. It's like you are just burning up or something. Worry less about my "attitude". You'll be happier.

"directly from the source" who is in your case??

I suggest the reason for "your" shortage could be that MNAO Renny Re-man plant is taking ALL the US allocation from MMC Japan ???

My dealer, who buys direct from Mazda Australia has stock.
Mazda Australia has plenty.

As I've said TWICE now, Walthall has NONE.
There is seriously a communication gap of some sort here...

Okay, well there is some input, that's a good start I am getting a better picture now, thanks for the clarification. Like I said, it may not be "cost effective" but can it be done for a reasonable price? I have found a couple of wrecked 09's already locally and the salvage yards don't appear to know there is a difference in the engines at all so prices are actually pretty close. Now for all the associated parts needed, shouldn't be too, too much.

Walthall = The MNAO reman plant.
Seeing as how its the BIG one, and you are, apparently, the BIG one, I figured you might have a clue.
Sorry.

this is like doing a S5 swap into a S4. (1989-1991 FC into 1986-1988 FC)

you have to pretty much "get everything from the S2", including computers, harness, whatever crap the engine is attached to, etc.

I dont know man, forget about money first.

To me, these kind of swap just not worth the time. if u get another extra 50 hp then maybe. and these swap are not as easy as using S5 housing for S4 engine.

Really, what is your point here? To just parrot the WSL?
Get out from behind the counter and find something useful to do. Like falling off a ledge.

Precisely. I'm not really sure what the point of this intellectual exercise is, other than just to ponder it.

Which part of that don't you understand?

Somebody help me here. Am I not clear about what I am saying?

Jeez, you originally stated that S1 Housings were not available ANYmore...in USA

If a US Mazda Dealer can BUY them in at Dealer Price then your Supplier can...and you won't pay Retail will you!!!

And if you REALLY wanted Housings, why would you CARE what price you pay??, after all you have gone through 7 engines, so finance is not an issue.

A US dealer CAN'T buy them. That is my point.
What they already have is all there is. Which part of that are you not getting?

If Nabisco stopped making the 'Nilla Wafer but Safeway still has them in stock, what does that mean for the guy running the 7-11?

After considering the LSx, I've actually been thinking SR or 4G swap.

You would earn a lot more kudos by using your talents to develop the reliable 400whp renesis ....

4G63 or SR Red Top. Both are very reliable. Stand alone ECU?

Red top SR20 would match your car lol.
The ls is an amazing engine for a pushrod V-8 but for the RX i say try something new. Why not
SR20 No parts shortages there.
I know i will keep the Rx-8 as long as I can and have thought about engine swaps alot and I will probably end up doing the ls series but I'd love to see all kinds of engines stuffed into our car.

I think MM was trying to say after those 3. US dealers will not be able to get them anymore

I ran a check and all Mazda have now is really 3. Didn't check to see if they will be getting more tho
