Did you check the ECU connections? Pull the plugs and reconnect them and see if that helps. I had a strange problem with mine that turned out to be one of the plugs not being seated properly
I have the following

rb street port
mildly ported OEM header (w/ AP delete)
mildly ported LIM
new everything (irons/housings, seal, springs, bearings)
BHR FW
BHR Ign
AEM intake
catless midpipe
borla catback
S2 trans
and a sarx sticker

everything else is supension

The ECU connections are good, and the connections to the vacuum solenoids are good, we tried that. I will have to check out the APV code then because the three of us who are ported have that APV stuck open code.
if I see John nextdoor I will grab his light. all I would be testing for is it actually firing right....nothing to time it to?

double checked ECU connections

yea for the APV code it will compliment my coolant light nicely

Just roll start and drive that bitch to empty, and then fill up with some fresh Shell 93.

cranking rpms 250? Well- its not the starter then. With new info ( cranking rpms and old sensor working fine) then it probably not a system voltage thing.
It really sounds spark related too me--in some way. Maybe Good box? IDK how that thing works but didnt you have to tap into a pcm wire to install it?

after you pull it off, run it a little then switch it off, will it crank immediatly after switching it off?
if it doesnt then I bet it is spark related.
Whats crazy is it first cranked fine with the starter.
You have my kind of luck man--- ---jeez.
Na its not the trans sensors or the clutch sensor. Not the apv's.
Do the pedal dance on it just for kicks?
alos put the oem coils back on--just to test it

I completly removed the goodbox and harness and it did nothing. you tie the GB into the TPMS in the dash (to the left of the pass airbag)

tried the immediate start after turning it off..nada

I love my luck...lmao keeps life interesting

did the pedal dance

any oil in the omp lines yet?
only other thing I know off would be to put the oem coils back on--which makes no sense.

I think omp is good, I had some residual oil in the lines just out of the omp, that black oil is now gone

ironically the oem coils are what got it started the first time and I have changed them probably 6-8 times in despiration....but that was before we pull started it and what not so I will go give it a shot

A certain rx8 drove all over Houston routinely with no front bumper cover. I doubt he got a ticket. I'd be more worried about getting pulled over and the cop making you turn off the car than the ticket.

well after dealing with all this engine BS I am going to finish up my suspension install. FCM sleeves for my bilsteins should do nicely

about the time I finish the front the car should be cooled down and ready to warm up again.

after some communincation with Charles (and thanks again charles!) I am going to give it 2 or 3 more warms up and cool down cycles before I start to worry

if anyone is bored you'll know where to find me with a cold one

nope, it runs like a dream just wont start on its own

I drove it a bit earlier and after talking with charles a few warm up cycles may be all it needs.

if I can get all this stuff buttoned up I am going to go for a long drive...maybe an hour or so.

Hmmmm...

Just thinking out of the box. If we switched the Neutral safety switch and reverse switch wouldn't that prevent the car form starting? On second thought that would prevent it from even turning...

hmmmm... Very curious. We shall see what happens when the BHR kit gets in.

bhr kit? I have the BHR kit on it now.

I dont think the BHR is the issue though becase the car runs well otherwise. (I guess anyway...I got a tester just havent tested).

Oh I thought it was still down, weird. I can only imagine it has something to do with the S2 transmission.
