Question Reset the DSC/TSC?

The other day I had a hard start which I believe was caused by a low battery. for full details see https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=30196

The DSC off light stayed on for awhile, and the TSC light stayed on until I restarted the car. Everything has been fine since. Should I have done (or should I still do) the DSC/TSC reset that's in the manual, or can I assume it's all back to normal now?

If your indicators are off now, I think you are OK. The only thing I remember seeing that required a "reset" is the electrically assisted power steering, but that is only if the battery is disconnected for a period of time.

I wouldn't worry about it Sue, but mention these things to your dealer the next time that you are in for an oil change or service so that they can check for any stored codes.

Given your hard start (and the fact that your car was apart recently), I'd check the tightness of the battery cables...

Thanks Alan - I did. I also have it scheduled to go in next week - they want to have a look and "jiggle all the connections" to see if there was any other explanation for my problem. I'm not 100% sure it really was the battery to begin with, the engine cranked for awhile before it quit.
