well, it's not just a few extra horse power.

florida has no emissions requirement.

the likelihood of the hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide coming from my car doing any damage to anyone is virtually 0 given how little i drive and the fact no one is allowed to suck on my tailpipe anymore ever since that incident with my 88 in 99.

I like the smell. Stay well back if you don't. this isn't canada.

I like the sound.

I can put the cat back on if I need to.

whats the problem now?

Perhaps, but bumping a 2-year old thread for no good reason also = Fail.

if you buy a used cat here.. pretty cheap. if you buy a replacement cat from a dealership.. pretty expensive. Or you could get an aftermarket high flow cat put on.

ps: it's got nothing to do with f'ing global warming either, it has more to do with the ensuring a suitable future for your family, assuming you're going to have one. Hopefully somebody this selfishly irresponsible won't .... what else can you call deleting a cat converter for 5 measly hp at 8500 rpm for a car that rarely ever sees it, yet constantly pollutes regardless

You sound like you don't know exactly know what catalytic converters do or why they were invented.

Your arguments would be valid if the majority or even 1% of motorists removed their cats butttttttttt they don't so quit whining.

Using that argument, is it then OK for some company to dump toxic waste or expose you as a worker to hazardous chemicals because it's cheaper and they're less than 1% of the ones who do it? It's the exact same argument and rationale.

Nobody's whining, but somebody is being a clueless dumbass. Go pedal your fail somewhere else.

Dumping toxic waste =/= removing a cat. Apples and oranges guy.
