radiator filter
ok... have seen just about the same 'ol things over at the tech forum. it seems to be the same boring things... where are all the techy stuff people share?
anyway, this one is kinda lame. and easy to do for smokers.
step1: pop your hood
step2: have a cigarette
step3: break the filter off of the other cigarette
step4: turn the coolant overflow tube upside down and plug it up with the filter like a pms girl plugs in a tampon
step5: finish your smoke
done. you've sucessfully filtered your cooling system from environmental debris and dirt, and i've sucessfully wasted ur time on such a lame diy because i'm bored.
enjoy!

to say the truth... i did too when i did this.
lets see... i was flushing my coolant, and thought "what a retarded design mazda did for this cooling system, it makes for 2 weak points" while having a smoke. so after i finished the coolant exchange, and my smoke... i plugged it up and thought, "well, at least now i know dirt can't get in because of this design"
(being i've worked on mostly honda's without a pressurized reservoir, this was weird)
i guess its like those retarded mugen wristbands you see on the brake reservoir for aesthetic reasons even though it looks ugly. but on the functional side, it is hardly dusty in the reservoir with that...
but personally, my underhood never gets dirty or muddy enough.

for female rx-8 owners... SAVE YOUR TAMPONS!
i should make a thread for those that want to keep their coolant free of dust and debris while turning their coolant to a awesome red color!
