Power Loss/Crazy Meters
Ok, without getting flamed, can anyone point me in the right direction here? My car seems like it's about to shut down when i am parked and move the steering wheel to the sides; also, when that happens the ABS and traction lights(sliding car yellow light) begin to flicker. During those steering wheel turns, the radio shuts off too, then turns back on. Then drives normally, but when it's time to get out of the car, i turn it off, and the needles in RPM, temp, and oil pressure go all the way up, then down.
help identifying this problem, anyone? it's drivin me nuckin futs.

My best guess would be wiring harness of the power steering.
We have electric power steering and the connector on the '04's tend to short out. In fact I think there might have been a TSB out for it.

hmmm...if there is a bulletin, it shouldve been done. i just took it last week to the stealership for a power loss recall. unless those bastards messed it up on purpose.
the only thing i can think of that i've done was unpluggin some wires by the strut bar on the passenger's side on the engine bay. i did it so i could fit the wrench to take out the strut bar. could that be the power steering wiring? it was unplugged for about 1hr cause we (hockey and I) were trying to install shocks.
what do you think, metal? thanks for your input.

I have an '07 and they fixed it.
But if you go to advanced search on the forum and look up "power steering connector" you will pull up lots of threads with similar problems.

Should be a start. I'm guessing its shorting out putting a big draw on your electrical system. I could be wrong but it sounds similar. Electrical problems are the hardest to diagnose on ANY car.
