The DIY section isn't really for people to post random things that they'd like other people to figure out for them. It's for people who have taken the time to create a DIY to display it so that others may use it/comment on it/revise it. Please take more care when posting in the future.

The point of my response wasn't to be an ***, but to encourage you to think a little about where you post, so that you don't clutter up the forum. The DIY section is far more useful as a list of complete DIY's than as a place for people to make random requests. Since it looks like you're a little new to the forum, I assumed that you just didn't know this.

This is the closest I've found. Good luck.

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=94951.html

But I agree with zenmoused - this section is for finished DIYs. If you've searched and can't find a DIY matching your needs, you will probably get better answers in the Interior, Audio, and Electronics section.

And if nobody has the answer, then you could be the proud author of a new DIY and tell us how. Get the workshop manual and wiring diagrams, and GET TO IT! I want mine Yellow, bitch! Lol.

i remember a while ago someone posted the disassembly of their stock head unit and it showed the led's attatched to the face of radios circuit board. it looks like you should be able to unsolder those led's and replace them with the color of your choice. i have a pic of the disassembled radio but it's too large to post. does anyone know how to resize it so i can post it here?

YayAreaBruh21 are you referring to the display above the head unit?

Truemagellen and I talked about this quite a while back and he mentioned putting a colored theater gel (colored film) in front of the display to change the color that the display shows.

Been thinking of experimenting but haven't gone out and purchased some gels to use.
