Syncro/Trans Repair - who to do it?

About a year ago, my 04 i bought used with 9k miles on it had the clutch go bad at 19k miles.. I went around in circles with my local mazda dealer (of whom Ive bought two new mazdas from), district rep, and MNA and ended up having to pay for a new clutch. The (non mazda) dealer I bought the car from footed half of the cost of the new clutch/labor if I would put an upgraded aftermarket clutch in, and would allow their transmission vendor to complete it.. and I went that route. They had a place locally called Mr. Transmission do the work, and they put an ACT clutch in. Clutch has performed awesome, but ive developed an issue with 5th gear, it just pops it out of gear about 9 out of 10 times.. sometimes it goes in just fine, but most of the time it goes in but when you let up on the clutch it pops it back out and grinds. My 2nd gear syncro is also weak, it clumps a little when moving into 2nd. My main question is if I should have the mazda dealer fix the syncro problems or try another outside vendor. I know the mazda dealer will not fix the syncros under warranty, ive asked and argued several times. At this point, i just want to get it fixed. I love this car as if it was my child and right now my child is hurt. Does anyone have any suggestions for a generic/specialty transmission store to perform this kind of work? The Mr. .Transmission store that put the clutch in is not in business anymore. The used car dealer I bought my 8 from said they started having the new car dealership service depts do their transmission work, so that would put me back at mazda.. should I try a secondary vendor or have mazda check it out? They are so wierd when you have aftermarket crap, and so quick to have a negative attitude about the entire thing, even if they are getting paid for it. I dont want just anyone rebuilding/fixing the transmission tho.. any suggestions?
Thanks
Jase

Yeah I doubt Mazda will fix it for free basically because they will say that the damage is due to the aftermarket clutch but im sure theyll gladly fix it for a price you can have them give you a quote. I have my car at Mazda right now having the same synchro grinding and transmission issues fixed. They are doing it for free because my clutch is stock but im having them install an ACT clutch and flywheel while they are doing the tranny work because it will cost less and they informed me that because im installing an aftermarket clutch they most likely will not fix any transmission issues for free in the future.
