Oil Modifications

I've searched around the RX8 site, but don't see any talk about oil modifications like the RX7 & nopistons sites. Does anyone even bother on a RX since they aren't the best for heavy HP, or do people just not post things like that on here? These are a few that I've found people do in RX7 world. Not sure if they are applicable here.
  • Loop line = Tap off remote oil cooler and plumb back into the front iron. (Supposedly there is turbulence in the oil hollow dowel pins?)
  • Port out oil pump, get rid of the sharp 90s and smooth the ramps
  • Drill out the oil galleries (7/16 for main supply, 3/8 to stationary gears)
  • Drill out the stationary gear to match (probably grind out as it's harded metal, would be hard to drill?)
  • Modify eshaft to drill in second hole in rear to balance out the front getting more even oil flow.
  • Also had teardrops to the eshaft inlets. (duct shape on inlet, round on outlet)

I've run a 400whp renesis for years and only oil mod I've ever made is to up the pressure by squashing the regulator end ...... haven't had oil issues (that I know of) .

I'm still finding my ways around the land. Haven't been involved with rotaries for too long, but getting a feel between all the sites. I have the weekend to myself, no gf or dogs, so just going over the engine and getting rid of casing marks and cleaning up the irons. Little porting on the oil pump.

For mods, I've only done the eshaft jets, therm pallet and FD regulator (with 2 washers on front reg).

400, Force induction?

I see people doing some of these mods on other sites, but no data to back them up. If I get bored, I'll see about setting up some testing to measure flow and psi at the gears on my spare engine one of these years. Be a fun experiment.
