Is there a way to drain the oil from the oil coolers?

Just wondering if there is a way to change all the oil in my engine.

Thanks!

When I switched over to synthetic I drained the oil coolers and lines....it was a PIA and not worth the effort. They only held at most another quart. It is easier and more effective to just do a few quick back to back oil changes to get rid of most of the old oil

I've tried jacking up the car to get oil out of the coolers. It did not work too well.

Go with what dannobre said.

It took me about two hours to remove the front bumper, the shrouding in front of the coolers...open the cooler lines..blow out with compressed air..

and like I said above only netted about another litre of oil...not worth it. i wouldn't have bothered except i was fabricating brackets for another oil cooler and had to do remove everything anyway. And it made a big mess that I had to clean up after
