I have called several dealers, they all ran my VIN and told me the "M" is just fine, I would have to agree considering not one problem or CEL. Also I mentioned hard cold starts to see if I can get a move on the flash to my local dealer I take it to, tech said no dice but howa bout a new starter,battery and plugs I'm leaving the Flash thing alone for now I think. I read that the combo of above mentioned is weak, but are they doing it to bill Mazda instead of a 10min flash. Either way I do want the new battery. Also new brake pads installed and believe it or not no squeaking!!!! I was amazed!

 

I had a CEL come on my 04 (M Flash w/11.5K 6/04 Build Date ) and took it in. While the service manager was taking my keys and such, I just asked him if they would need to hook it up to the WDS. (Knowing the answer of course) After he replied yes, I asked him to reflash the car and they did with out a batting an eye. Of course this may be SOP for a CEL anyway. The only issue was I asked them to list it on the invoice, which they did, however, it only states:
11157 REFLASH PCM .3
No file number. Should there be an updated flash sticker on my car somewhere with the file number? I will say I am on atleast N now as the car just seemed immediately smoother and more willing in the lower revs without a doubt! Glad it was done. Oh the CEL was the gas cap-which is odd because I did not get gas until after the light came on..oh well. Its off now.

 

you know what. this is really annoying. the last 3 -4 questions about the flashes and whether to get it and if there is a sticker etc. have been asked and answered in this thread before as well as the p flash threads and the n flash threads and the m flash threads etc.

read the thread before asking a question and you might just find the answer has already been given. of course there is also the FAQ to read as well
