Alright so everything is working Still got a MIL light but I know what both of them are.

Car still has a littel trouble starting. Im thinking its from 4 month old fuel and slightly fouled spark plugs.

If it's any comfort to you - my engine was hard to start for at least 500 miles after my rebuild using 2nd hand housings .....

That is a huge comfort. After all that work we did to have a failed product would really suck.

The truth will come from the dyno and the compression test.

I'm also wondering if having a port and no tune is effecting anything.

I doubt it but ya never know.

I will say this tough. The spark coming out of those D585 coils is quite impressive.

Yea anyway...

Ray do you suggest I get a compression test done up here or can I wait to bring it down to you.

I was going to drive down there to get the air flow tested and compare to other rene's. Also wanted to pick up a whalbro pump and maybe some other stuff. Plus I need to treat you guys to dinner for all your help.I wanted to get on the Dyno as well. I'm thinking we can do all that in a weekend. sat:compression, dyno, dinner for the BHR crew. Sun: buy some crap and head home.

Why would you plan a road-trip/dyno on a motor that doesn't run correctly?
Wait for it to settle first.
My current motor took a week or two before it became "normal".

Wouldn't the road trip be a good way to "settle" it down ?

/\ yes , sort of . Depends on what the issues are .
The engine builder I have suggests that you stay close to home for the first 1/2 hr of so of driving to check for leaks or other issues then take it for a good long drive (200miles or so) making sure load is varied often .

Yea umm I was going to wait until the engine was broken in and I was on my 9k revs. Fluids changed etc etc.

I'm still having some hard starts but its getting easier and easier. I need to get new plugs and a few other items before I dyno it.

But yea Ray if your going to be in the area id be up for a compression check. when are you thinking about coming out?
