i was flooring it on the highway 100mph and then i slowed down to about 65mph and for about 2 miles and then my car started losing power so i down shifted it stayed about 4rpm no matter the gear. then when i came to a complete stop the car shut off.

iar sensor?
catalyc converter?
spark plug coil?

Maybe no flames... its an issue. First off, what year is your 8?

 

2006 like i said it will turn over and make compression i can hear it in the exhaust. but no start. it sounds like maybe it needs fuel but there is gas in the tank.

ive been using octane booster for about 3 months now because el paso only has 91 do you think that could be my problem?
or the fast that its got nearly 50k miles on it and has the same original spark plugs never changed?

 

^ Lol. Replace those, coils as well. Maybe go BHR ignition set while you are at it.
