I wanted to switch to Synthetic Manual Transmission fluid, is this a good idea? I have heard that synthetic oil is bad for the Renesis, is this ok? Also how many and what type of fluid to buy?

I did this mod of my tC and I felt an immediate difference, just trying to see if this is a common mod. Thanks!

First off, synthetic oil being bad for a RENESIS is a misconception
Second off as cjkim stated, what does MTF have to do with our engines?

 

I just mentioned it because I have read on here that synthetic oil will break down the apex seals over time...not sure if that is true but I saw it on here. That's why I asked and said that.

 

ok...let me make it simpler..what synthetic MTF should i use? I am asking for a recommendation

that said, i use redline with no problems.

 

ok thank you...i read in the manual that it shows 1.8 quarts of "manual transmission oil" is this correct so 2 quarts of Redline MT-90?
