Oil tank for the Sogh OMP adapater

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a good solution to provide an oil tank to the sohn omp adapter. I want to keep my windshield washers functional and don't want to relocate my battery.

What do you guys suggest me ? I know that many of you have already installed it and I'm curious about your suggestions. I was about to order the canister set from mazsport, I'm glad I didn't do it.

I'm currently cleaning up all my engine bay and removed pretty much everything, so it will be extremely easy for my to work on that area, The only thing left in the engine bay is the motor.

BTW I did some search but most of the people used the Mazsport canister or the windshield washer reservoir. Not an option for me.

Thanks in advance,

I bought a second rad overflow bottle with the intent of mounting it alongside the other, when I put in an intake.

How will you fix it ? I tough the same, but I'm not sure about the size.

Thanks,

Good Idea, but I would use that for windshield solvent and the windshield bottle for the oil.

On a second thought, I just checked if it would fit and it wont since I have the REVI at the same place as the stock intake. I would have to replace my stock windshield washer fluid tank by a smaller one and use the left space for a small oil tank. I know that some user here replaced his tank by a smaller one, but I can't remember who it is.

I still don't have a solution

I want to keep my engine bay as clean and a stock as possible.

I did read on here before that someone built a custom washer fluid/oil reserve tank. It was very nice and functional...even had built in sight glasses for both fluids. You may end up having to go a custom route with this one.

edit...I found this pic, not what I was referring to but this is another option:

I purchased off EBay an old '99 Yamaha Razz Oil Reservoir that comes with a electronic level meter.

It's not mounted yet. I'm just collecting parts for "Project Nemesis" coming later when I pull the engine. I think your right about the RX7 idea.

Wow, thank you for this find. I've been holding off on the Sohn adaptor for over a year because I could not find a reservoir tank I was happy with.

I puchased a 1 quart tank from US plastics that someone had linked to in one of the very early Sohn adatper threads. Just be sure to use anything that's tripple layered I believe. Also tanks used from any of the water/meth kits will work fine as well.

It's a great modification to have and one I highly suggest to anyone who wants long motor life. Running clean 2 cycle oil is the way to go.
