Looking for an engine wiring harness?

A bad cat melted part of my wiring harness.. dealer wants 1169$ for a new one.. anyone have any links or idea where to find a cheaper one online or exactly what I should be searching for.. general search doesnt bring up much.

Would a mazda parts store online be any cheaper than the dealer??

PLease PM me with any links or reply with any general information. Searched on here and didnt find much.

Thx
Jason

Salvage item. Otherwise this is not gonna be something common. Inspect it if you get a salvage part. Make sure it's from same transmission type.

How much of it melted? Automatic or manual? What year? Which harness?

I have a manual trans parts harness with that piece if you want to purchase that section of it, it can be spliced in by anyone with decent electrical skills

Hey Jason I have the same problem. It seems the dealer is the only one that carries it though. Did you have any luck with this? or anyone know where to find the replacement?

What part do you need...it is easier to repair the part over the tranny and CAT area than replace the whole harness

Let me show you.... it appears to be the whole harness (clip) and the wires. Located right next to the cat.

u can get them at any salvage yard for cheap.

if u want a new one. It will be 800-1K, depends on which dealer u go to

if u HAVE to get a new one, u can try Mazmart. I'm sure they can get a new one for you, and Mazmart can and WILL beat ANY, I repeat, ANY dealership pricing.

oh hell, they might have used ones too, just give Mazmart a call and mention NYCGPS refer u to receive ur special treatment

That looks like it's fixable, but u don't sound like u can, so just ask and see if Mazmart has a used one first, if not just search on yellowpages and start calling salvage/junk yards.
