is it possible to program a non-mazda remote for use with the keyless entry in an rx8?

according to that thread, the above FCC id's are the Only ones that will work. Your aftermarket thingy will have to be able to spoof either of those, or you'll be SOL.

ps. You don't give the year of your RX-8. If you are talking about replacing the advanced keyless entry (credit card), then I can assure you that you are indeed SOL.
