So I'm looking to see how I can install a way around starting my car. Don't know exactly which wiring would work to get power to the starter without having to turn the key. Going quick and cheap for now with a basic toggle switch.

I've found a few threads of people mounting them up in a manual car but seeing as how automatics don't have the necessary wiring i can't seem to figure out wheres the best place to splice.

 

why?? What do you intend to do with the steering lock. Is it really that difficult to turn the key to start the car ?

 

I just finished a manual swap in my car and can't get power to the starter from the key so just going to bypass it. Wiring is my least favorite thing so it'd be nice to get some advice from anyone that has experience in it

 

Just put a switch on the coil side of your starter relay directly from the battery. It's not really complicated. I don't know if you'll have immobilizer issues though.

 

I'm not familiar with the wiring which would be used to splice into from the relay
