how to do a burnout?

I would definitely start by pulling the fuse brake. You're not going to be doing any burnouts with your fuses slowing down all the time. You need fast fuses!
If you have a manual, rev it to 7000RPM and dump the clutch. Proceed to hop on down the road.
If you have an automatic don't bother trying.

Hi "stand in" resident expert - so you turn off your TSC, then what RPM do you have to drop the clutch from? Even in that video, he barely smoked the tires; peeling out is hardly the same as a burnout. I'm not a rocket scientist, but lets take a look at an RX-8 dyno graph:
So, 122 ft/lbs of torque, maximum - the lug nuts have more torque than that. RX-8's are nice cars, but are not meant to be torque monsters.

NA rotary with 2 rotors are not torque monsters. They never have been, and never will be. However, drop in 3 or 4 rotors and it's a beast, even in NA form. Or turbocharge the 8. That "maximum" number you mentioned is BS. I have 220 lb-ft on a light tune.

So, you're calling me a genius when you're the one who missed the movie reference. Not to mention it was a joke. Good going.

I also simply posted a dyno graph from Dragtimes.com - blame them. The dyno thread, posted here:

Seems to also coincide with the graph I posted.

That firebird video is indeed priceless!! As for backwards racing... that reminds me of college in upstate NY, a dodge intrepid and a snowy parking lot at night.... Great times
To the OP: Since you seem to be able to afford wasting rubber... buy me a set of tires and I will teach you....

How to do a burnout?
1. Prepare a gas torch
2. Light it
3. Proceed to BURN the **** OUT of your rear tires
4. Enjoy condescending looks from bystanders
This may not what you were asking for, but step 4 will be the same in both cases
