^ lol.. The litre is one of the only sane measurements of volume left (ie, a litre is a litre is a litre).

That bottle is weak-sauce.
The red is cool I guess, but a black and white photo of a measuring cup? What, no graphic designers over at Idemitsu? It doesn't really matter what the bottle looks like as long as it works, but seriously, that is lame.

long trip
i use the 5oz cup per fill up. get about 20.5miles per gal i do this to increase the engine life but i am going from okla to ind and back. would increasing the amount do any good for longevity

^= You should really settle on an amount and stick to it. 1/2oz per gallon seems to work fine for most (that's what I use). Even if it's not the optimal ratio, it makes the mental math easy

So… would Idemitsu premix be a good idea even if my car has always run perfectly, is totally stock, and is never autocrossed/raced/tracked?
Or did I read somewhere here that Idemitsu says no, it's really designed for cars that are raced—with no catalytic converter—and could potentially harm the cat in a stock, non-raced car?

I have yet to hear anything conclusive about running a cat with Idemitsu. The manufacturer says you shouldn't but that could be just CYA

OH YEAH BABY.
Without warning my case of Idemitsu showed up today. A very nice surprise indeed. Can't wait to crack open the first quart! Way to go Mazdatrix!
Edit: Hey I thought this stuff was also MADE in Japan. The bottle says it's made in the US with components from Japan and the US. Hmmmm.

"The Idemitsu Rotary Fuel Lube is for racing applications. If your car is stock it has an OMP (onboard metering pump) that injects a small amount of engine oil lubricate your apex seals.
Racers generally remove this pump and use our Rotary Fuel Lube in their gasoline. This is similar to how a two cycle lubricant is distributed in that application.
So, there is no need to use the Rotary Fuel Lube in your car.

Your engine, do what you want. I've read over and over again about how this motor does not get enough lubrication to the proper area's even with a functioning OMP. The OMP is a compromise and so is 4-stroke crankcase oil.
My car is new (6k miles) and even I noticed a difference when I started premixing.

You do that. No doubt you have arrived at that conclusion after countless hours of contemplation and experimentation.
That, or you just "decided". The pic is for you.
Were this only the case. For some of us, the OMP is there to mark the spot between the exhaust manifold and the thermostat and that is about it.
