Fuel Cutoff

I am driving hard up the main straight at Watkins Glen in 4th, hit 106 and the car slows down...what the heck? Happens again in the turns 3_4_5... thinking Oh S!@# what is wrong, it hits me. Last run of the day, 125 miles, very low gas tank reading... it must be the Fuel Cutoff I have read about in the forum.

Thanks to all who have wondered down this road before. I would have had no clue what the problem was. Thank god it is down hill from the track to Town and a gas station.

Moral - it happens. If you are driving on the track - keep it above 1/4 full if at all possible.

Agreed, "fuel cutoff" is usually used to describe the ECU cutting fuel to the engine when max rpm is reached.
