Engine Temperature Light:
I was cruising this weekend and the engine temperature light came on, went off and came back on. Stopped the car, checked theradiator fluid, it was okay, cooling fan fine. The temperature gauge was registering normal. Drive the car to work and everything is fine. Wierd. I am calling the dealer today. Anyone else have this experience?
Thank you
Thank you

The same thing happened to me this weekend too. Do a search, I think it's normal at high RPMs sometimes. I was going pretty fast (shhh) at ~7K when it happened, and I had the A/C on as well. As soon as I slowed down and turned off the A/C, the light turned off. I later went the same speed and RPM with no A/C, and the light did not turn on.
I wasn't too worried. This happened before to me, and I did a search. I think as long as the coolant level is OK and it's not leaking, you're OK.

Engine Temperature Light ???????
You mean the COOLANT level light.
After it cool down, Top it off, thats all you need to do, fill it to the proper level, NOT all the way to the top of the bottle, Read your damn manual ... jeeze

sounds like coolant level was low. Did you get a chance to check it again this morning?

I have had the car for almost four years in hot Miami rush hour traffic and has never come on. Maybe a flush and all new coolant may help. There is no leakage anywhere.
Thx

flush might not be a bad idea, especially in that Miami weather. Check the water pump as well, make sure there's no leak.

Ja, was it the engine light or the coolant light?

Sometimes as Ray(or someone said) the sensors will go bad, so keep an eye on it and your level to see if it finally goes steady on. That will tell you it's the sensor(as long as your level is at the full mark). If so, then it will be time for a new bottle as the sensor is molded into it and can't just be replaced.
