Electrical assisted steering stopped working mid drive?
I was driving down a freeway where I live(110km/h to 120km/h) and when i went to take the exit all of a sudden the electrically assisted steering just wasn't there. The light then came on indicating something was wrong.
When i got to work and parked i tried turning the car back on and the warning light had disappeared and the steering was once again assisted. Does anyone have any idea what this could have been? I am contacting Mazda now to see what there take is on this.
Thanks for any help guys,
SpecialBlend.

It's a bad connection, no biggy, you just have to find it.
I had mine fixed four years ago.
Search my thread in the tech section - "steering, breaks."
I hope the good weather holds - I'll be in Calgary next week on business.....

or just a hiccup that shuts it down
I was scrubbing race tires holding the steering at full lock in 1st gear at 10 mph for quite a few 360s in each direction, when I got done the e-steering was gone, pulled the battery cable for a few minutes to clear the system, everything was fine when I connected it back
