ECU-to-Fusebox Wiring Harness Clip Part Number?

This past June my radiator was replaced by local dealership. Bottom tank had sprang a leak.

Yesterday I took down the airbox and the tray under it to clean up the mess my adding water had caused back then (some blew out of the overflow) and also to get easy access to the e-shaft sensor to clean it. And while I was at it, cleaned all the EPS connectors and the two grounds there. And the little connector on the EPS unit itself.

Well, imagine my mock-shock when I found they'd destroyed the two wiring harness clips that go on the tray -- the ones that hold the big fat harness -- instead of properly popping them off by compressing the prongs on them.. sheesh. So now, since June, that harness (goes from ECU to big fusebox) is not well-anchored.

My dealership's parts guy can't find the parts # for these, even after showing him pix. I also pored over my own parts catalog pdf, and nope, can't seem to find 'em.

I've googled and searched here too. Nothing.

Anyone know this part's number? Please have a look-see at the pix to see what I'm talking about. I think they're both the same, it was just tough getting a good shot of it.

That is the battery harness its not connected to the ECU at all. Just use a few zip ties to secure it to the airbox tray if you really want to.

i looked in the 8 parts book, and i believe that ziptie comes on the harness, so its not available separate.

usually there is another model that will list it separately, its just sunday, and i'm not in front of a parts catalog....

oh and you should prepare yourself for an astronomical price, these parts for an 84-85 Rx7 (9970-93-250 i think its not as long) retailed around $14 each.

You can use zip ties like these if you want them to click into the holes on the air box tray...

Thanks for the replies, both of you.

For now I'll zip-tie, and look for the parts using the number posted.

It burns me that the mazda techs at my dealer are so lazy that they can't take the 3 seconds it takes to grab a pair of needle-nosed pliers and undo them properly. Lazy!

As for astronomical prices, I just say "Mazda is very proud of their parts." The oil cooler for my GSL-SE (13B) was $500 -- just for the part. Wow. For a pint-sized radiator. Hoil!

I'm used to it by now. 200 dollar visors, etc.

Those things are a pain in the *** to undo and usually break.

Best thing to do is to cut it and begin repair of the car. A mechanic is not going to spend ten or more minutes on that.
