Did they do a compression test with the new CAT?

i dont know^^thats my fault
i pretty much walked them thru the problems
first i said coils so they replaced them
then i said cat and i belive teh compression test showed the cat as the issue

the car drives about 80 percent better , it does
but i cant hardely make it up a hill

so i have a new cat, new spark plugs and coils
the car is running very hot

i removed the coolant cap and it was smoking
why is my car running so hot

you removed the resevoir cap from the car while hot? i assume by smoking you mean water vapor coming or steam coming out. it will do that, as when you release the pressure from coolant system, it will lower the boiling point, causing water to conver to steam.

they just told me i needed a cat and replaced it
but the car still doesnt run right uphills and when i hit the gas hard
