Can I jack by the front crossmember?
I'm a new owner, and haven't yet jacked up my RX. I searched for jack points, and one of the few things I found was a warning that if you jack by the front crossmember you can throw out the alignment. Is this true? If it is, and you want to lift the entire front of the car, what do you do, just lift the car one side at a time? Is it ok to lift the car by the differential housing?
I have been lifting RX-8's by the front sub frame and rear diff for 10+ years. Lifting at the sub frame cannot affect the alignment.

^ This. And the rear jack stand points on the RX-8 are genius. My BMW has some shitty plastic ones that drive me nuts. But the front jack point on the sub frame is very similar to the RX-8 one.
tell me about it. LOL
last time the ******* plastic/rubber jack point thing broke while I was jacking the car up,the jack slipped and hit the car, scared the **** outta me.
