Funny that Mazda engineers worked os hard to make the 8's idle smooth... LOL

You could try to lower your idle speed via Cobb AP and throw in a mid pipe.

I have a high flow cat mid pipe and RB REV 8 and my exhaust has similar tone but does not have that distinctive idle... But I have my idle at 900...

 

People have had their engines bridgeported. The will produce that sound. The results of the bridgeporting on horsepower and engine longevity haven't been fully reported.
It won't be cheap.

 

you need more exhaust gasses in the intake stroke so it misfires....

Unplug one of your injectors and it'll sound just like that...

 

My RX-8 sounds exactly like the R26B in the 787B except it's not as loud.









What I did was grab my Android, searched for the link, plugged the auxiliary audio cable in, cranked the volume to max and play it over and over again with my windows down. I swear I get all the hottest bitches' panties to drop every time.
