Anyone tried an electric supercharger?
Anyone tried an electric supercharger, turbocharger? I know it's sketchy but even if it
delivers a fraction of their claim it'd be worth it. I saw this www.superwhirl.com and
www.electricchargers.com I think there's a few others. Anyone actually tried one?
Thanks,
Jordan

Despite your sincerity in asking that question you're never going to find anyone who knows anything about proper modding with an electrically blown engine of any kind

Awh man. I was this close (holding thumb and index finger closely) to buying one! I mean it all makes perfect sense! It's so right, how could it be wrong? And look:
"
Will this device harm my engine?
No, the supercharger is completely safe for use on your vehicle. Full boost will not overstress your engine in any way. Maximum performance can be attained only when you need it. This can not be done with a traditional supercharger.
Will this void my warranty?
No, not if the supercharger is uninstalled before scheduled maintenance. Engine wear is not increased, so detection is not possible even with the most advanced diagnostic equipment. Traditional superchargers will always void warranties."
They've thought of EVERYTHING!

Dude, GReddy should advertise this for their turbo kit! HAHA, "no this won't void your warranty, just remove it before getting your car serviced!" That is too awesome.

i guess...
but there wassssss a website that i think someone posted on the forum a while back, where they bought all the different cheap HP and MPG bolt-on additions and they installed, dyno-ed, and reviewed each one...
i think the conclusion is that NONE of them come remotely close to working, and most just rob horses and miles...
anyone know of the site?

Mythbusters also did a segment on similar things with zero gains.
