Aftermarket Exhaust, Problems with Smog passing?
Anyone have problems with their aftermarket exhausts not passing smog tests? Name the brand and if you passed or not.

i don't think anyone will fail due to a cat-back exhaust...b/c the cat is still in place only part of your exhaust which has somethign to say about emmisions.
but since you are in Cali..i dunno...you guys are wierd down there :p

I remember getting tons of tickets for stupid aftermarket exhaust for a TRUST 50 state legal smog passing exhaust. That was back in the 90's... went through about 10 tix before I went back to stock. Trying to fight it would waste an hour of my life just to show the certificate to the judge etc...
Not sure what the laws are now though... and yes it's Cali... lots of BS laws. One of the things I notice is that the real police that protect the public, catch speeders, etc are usually in the nitty gritty LA areas. The ones in the nicer neighborhoods have nothing to do besides pulling you over for going 30 in a 25 zone, or siting you for stupid aftermarket exhaust tips... what a load of crock.
