6 speed 157mph b4 it started kickin beack ..........damn govenors.............haven't hit it with all the upgrades i've done in the past year. not much but intake and cat delete, and exhaust.......... but I'm sure I could hit over 160mph, w/o a turbo..............big plains for a turbo or a super charger in the mix......... awhile off though to many f'in bills. maybe the wife will go get a job so I can put a little more into my car.......LOL like that will happen. Next time I red line in 6th I'll post

same here 04 AT...Toped out at 125....wouldnt let me go past that...try 2 go past and it just drops me right down to 115....is there anyway to overcome this?? i would realli like to atleast hit 160mph.....god dammit...lolz

ive had my 04 AT rx8 for a little over a weak now. So far the fastest i got it up to was 100MPH...these cars are gov at 125?
what exactly would i do to get rid of this? Maybe a specific tune?

From what ive read when I had a 4-port AT is that the Cobb AP can remove your redline at 7500rpms but not your gov. at 125mph because the gov. is set in place my your TCM and not you're ECU... something like that, thats what Easy told me, maybe you were going downhill?

There were a group of 04 a/t that did not get the limiter...Most did. The 8 with stock or m/s body is not able to exceed 153MPH unless you find a way to put wings on it. They become airborne at that speed. That could be one reason the limiter was added.
