2nd oil cooler for AT rx8 ?
I've no idea, really. People attributed it to the 6-port engine having 2 oil coolers. Others say 06+ had it. Others say 04-08 have no mechanical changes besides going from 4 port to 6 port.
Easy, what is in place of the passenger oil cooler in a stock AT that didn't have it?

I can't seem to find the parts schematics I had. I'll have to get some more. Let me do some more research into this second oil cooler issue. I shall verify my original findings.
2004-2009 AT oil cooler system.
Funny if they had it on the 2006 why would they take it back off the 2009?

Nothing. It's just a plastic panel with ribs.

Was there ever some still service announcement thing where people could come and pay to have a second one put on? (forget the acronym for those servicey things)
Can someone take a pic of their AT with only the one cooler, I would kinda like to see what is therem

And I don't think there is on. It's not a flaw/fault in the car.
I fitted a 2nd oil cooler to my JDM 6port but put water through it instead of oil . Works really well on my turbo setup - no other cooling mods . Track tested too

how did u run the second radiator may i ask?
/\ only one .
One hose to T in bottom return line of header tank - other hose to a T (by the thermostat) in the supply hose to top of header tank .
That way it is still thermostatically controlled . Have seen guys tap into the heater hose which I don't think is a good idea as this bypasses the thermostat and makes the engine run too cold and take too long to warm up .
