Has anyone made it out to a track yet, any kind 1/4 1/8 Autocross? I have just been looking at most of the otehrs and they are all dyno's and...well BS in some, just looking for some info on improved times. thanks.

Expect a 13.6 from the GReddy turbo and appropriate tires.

Wait til Spring or Summer comes around and people will start posting results here. Right now, it's either too wet or too icy around their area.

Dang well I was hoping someone had tracked it yet, ohh well I guess by summer there should be plenty of people throwing times around. Well another question, anyone here with a turbo going to the Rotary Rev? I'd love to see some of these install in person.

Based on cretinxs estimate thats roughly a one second gain in the quarter mile from stock. Pretty decent. Hopefully its true

I'd say it is almost a certainty that one will be at RR. You know somebody is gonna want to show one off.

guys,
Beg to differ. A sub 14sec 1/4has already been done without nos and without turbo and on oem tires. Check Charles Hill's treads.

^^wasn't that with a g-tech? great for tuning on the fly adn seeing gains...but not really super accurate is it? i woudl perfer to see a track time myself..maybe i'm just old fashioned. But Charles Hill has done some great stuff with his 8...i believe he is in the high 12's now with nitrous oxide and his other modifications. (according to the g-tech). still great:D

I finally got some free time to make it out to the 1/4mile track and they were freaking closed. Bad track conditions. It rained overnight but it was dry by noon. Made it out there at 6pm. sucked. I was looking forward to seeing what the greddy kit could do.
On the way back, my roommate and I did some rolling starts in 3rd gear on the highway. I pulled away slightly.
He runs 13.7's (03 mustang gt, xpipe, exhaust, cai, throttle body, nitto 555's)
It looks promising, I'll go back in a couple of weeks.

I also have a RB flywheel, bonez clutch set, and 19" wheels w/275's tires in the rear. My time before the turbo was 15.0 (5k rpm launches).

^why didn't you get RB's clutch and pressure plate when you got their flywheel? just curious:D

with the power the greddy kit puts ouit and your other mods you have curently..i'm guessing mid-low 13's but it's all guess work till the open the track..can't wait to hear your results:D

RB clutch/pressure plate were not available when I ordered the flywheel.

Launching with the turbo will be tricky. Also, I don't think I will be able to go WOT in 1st gear at all, no traction if I do that.

What does his 1/4 mile ET have to do with a highway race?

What are his TRAP speeds...that's what would dictate which car has more power. E/T's are a function of driver and traction. Trap speed can be constant, where e/t's can vary wildly. I used to run against a Mustang, back when I had my Probe GT...we'd consistantly run high 13s, to about 14.2...both of us. He'd trap the vast majority of the time, right about 99mph...I'd trap consistantly 104-105mph. At the track, it'd be very close...on the way to and from the track I'd smoke him.

:D

Absolutely nothing.
Just stating his times and that he's not able to leave my *** 2 carlengths behind anymore in 3rd gear rolling starts.

How's the Bonez clutch working out for you? Now that there are multiple options for clutches (Bonez, Racing Beat, as well as the ACT kits that some companies sell), I'm looking for opinions.

It grabs pretty good. The 8 is my daily driver and I didn't have to adjust much (pedal force is about the same). The only bad point is that the clutch engagement point is at the bottom of the floor. I need to see about making an adjustment so it's not that low.
The flywheel didn't give me any issues either.

Also, the pressure plate is made by ACT and the disk is EXEDY. Not sure why it's called bonez.
