Turbo Owners, quick question.

so most of you peak at 7 or 8k. do you still redline once a day? or is 7k while being turbo'ed enough to keep the carbon levels down?

I redline mine for carbon buildup. Shifting at 7 or 8 K is due to the fact that power drops after those RPM's. So if you were to track a turbo 8, no reason to redline.

Plus when taking it WOT, redline comes real damn fast so it's almost impossible not to redline

Redline in an NA car is a MAF of 220g/s odd at 8500 . In a turbo car you see that at around 5500 so anything above that will be doing a pretty good job of preventng any buildup i would imagine .

you are saying going fi is good for carbon removal, and the motor works less!

FI is good for everything; get faster cars, more sex, more money.... nicer houses. We even have a secret section of the forum that you guys don't even know about where we throw parties.... oh wait have I said too much?

no real idea - just seems to make sense to me . Sometimes that works - sometimes not
