Turbo help... again

So I bought a turbo from a user on this forum and was told the turbo was in good shape and the kit was as it came from retail, but it was just used. HE LIED. He sent me a kit with so many problems that I had no clue what to do anymore. It had improper fittings, bad couplers, even missing parts here and there, a CRACKED MANIFOLD...... and the actual turbo needs to be rebuilt. I tried contacting him over and over, but he never responded after he knew I had received the kit! GO FIGURE!.... So after a long, complicated process of trying to get my turbo on myself and whatnot I decided just to give it all to a shop to do. So that story out of the way I just wanted to ask about getting a manifold or maybe upgrading to headers, but I can't find them by themselves on the net anywhere. Any suggestions and or sites to have me look at? Thanks.

Just get the manifold welded by someone who knows what they are doing .
Must be preheated and welded with cast iron rods then allowed to cool slowly .

Hard luck on the kit but so long as you have all the major components you should be able to upgrade it and get a good result . Search the major HP upgrade threads for more info .

kinda LOL

Get the turbo rebuilt (always a good idea before you install it cuz it's a bitch to do later on)
upgrade the couplers - known weak point with the Greddy
Get an AEM intake and modify to fit
Get the accessport and tune from MM
Make sure you have an oil line restrictor
Fit a BOV (hks ssqv)

can't think of what else right now but do those things and you will wind up with a great setup

We can rebuild the turbo and supply the proper restrictor if you like. We can also fix the manifold.

I already have the Cobb access port and as soon as it's done I can finally start the process of tuning it with it and I changed the couplers and I have a restrictor, I also have a type s bov. the only thing I am worried about now is the manifold.

I already am having the turbo rebuilt, but I'm not sure about the manifold. The only thing is that I don't have the time riht now to ship it to you, have you fix it, then get it back and have to remount it. I guess for now I will just have to run it as is. The crack is not all the way through, but may get there soon. You probably will be hearing from me sometime. What are the rates to get a manifold re-welded?

I think depending on the age of the kit....but arent the greddy kits supplied with better couplers if you buy it new now-a-days? I know a line restrictor is built in on the kit now but I heard rumors that the couplers are alot better now; but still wondering if I should order new couplers for my kit that is on the way... as for the rest a modified AEM I will do later on.

Well his user name was MarkAngelo.
He was very promising at first and was very good to follow through with everything even after he got the money, but as soon as he knew I received it there was no more responses or anything.
