Oil seals went bad. Unfortunately, it seems to be happening to quite a few people with the GReddy turbo.

Hey there guys, here is the latest information regarding the dyno. I have spoken with Scott about this and the conclusion is that we need a place that has Dyno Jet and wideband available for use.

We are obviously trying to keep the costs down, but at the same time we need to find a place that is reputible. MD Automotive (formerly Jackson Racing) fits this and has been very flexible with their pricing.

Their original costs were 800 dollars for a full day and have graciously agreed that we will be charged 100 dollars an hour regardless of how much time we use. If we are there 3 hours or 7 hours the price will still be 100/hour.

Below is a link to their website so you can find more about them as well as a link to their location.

Website:
http://www.jacksonracing.com

Location:
http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?ad...w=1&name=&qty=

Scott will be posting some information within the next 48 hours regarding pricing that will need to be paid directly to Scott so we know who is on board for this. Scott if you could also let us know when this payment should be made to you by that would be great.

Once all of the payments have been received by Scott we will know exactly how many people we will have for this session. At that point, we will be able to equally divide the amount of the dyno rental. We will be splitting the costs between every person regardless of how much dyno time each person uses.

We are getting close guys!!

PS. This will take place on the weekend of May 20-21.

Alright great! That makes 5 people if spr_grn8 is in... Could you please post up one final response so we know that your in. If so, we can divide the costs 5 ways.. That will really keep the price down.

Yes i am still in. I would think we could still add a couple people to the list .
It would help with the cost for sure, but also it would give us more resources in So. Cal. to continue tuning, or if anyone needed help or had questions after Scott returned home. Just a suggestion....

O.K. guys sorry for the delay, here are the details. The dyno day will be Saturday the 20th of May and the street tuning sessions will be performed the next day Sunday the 21st. My expenses for the california trip will be ~$1000 there are 5 confirmed people for the session. The tuning cost per car is usually $350 per customer however because there are 5 confirmed I will drop that to $300 per customer. Divide expenses by 5 and that will be $500 for the saturday and sunday tuning sessions. David has secured a reliable dyno facility with a helper for $100 per hour. I would expect the dyno cost to be ~$100 per person. This is only 2 weeks away so plane tickets and hotel rooms need to be aquired to avoid any increases in cost. Please contact Christy, Dara or Nina at 1-800-538-9989 or 727-530-9960 no later than Friday 3pm E.S.T. to lock in rates. If any others not on the list would like to join in please contact us to check on availability. Thanks again and I look foward to a sucessful session.Scott

That is pretty much a locked down price.. It even appears that Scott gave us a brake on his fees...

I'll make my payment tomorrow.

Who should I send my contact info to?

I'll call them up to see when they open. It is a Saturday so let's hope they are as flexible with their hours as they are what they charged us... I believe last time we spoke they opened up shop at 9:00 am on Saturday.

Everyone needs to bring at least another 120.00 dollars with them plus spare for the dyno time. We will need to pay this on Saturday at the dyno session so please remember to bring your money...

So $500 to Scott, $100+ for the dyno?

Yeah. The break down of the charges is the following.

300 = Professional tuning by Scott
200 = Travel expenses
100+ = Dyno tuning time.

Scott expects to have all of the cars completely dyno tuned within 5 hours, that's why he indicated to everyone to bring 100 dollars as well. The only reason why I said 120+ is because if it goes over, you need to pay that money as well.

I am curious what the street tuning encompasses? Wouldnt we need to do some street tuning first before we put it on the dyno? Wouldnt we need the dyno "after" making adjustments ? And then do some fine tuning knowing where we are at?
I for one would like to know if i installed the interceptor correctly and how to use the software at the beginning of the whole process, then we could actually tune our car while its on the dyno.
My impression currently is we dyno our cars on saturday ( will that be with the interceptor installed and running?), then make tuning adjustments on saturday
or sunday? Then what.....? How will we know that the tuning adjustments are optimum after we make them?
Forgive my inexperience. I just thought it would be a good idea to know how the process is going to go.
