Scott, let me know if you're ever out in the midwest .
I am assuming you have the same setup as me... greddy turbo + interceptor.

When steve was tuning mine there wasn't an issue of sudden richness. Instead he had to up the fuel to keep it from leaning out up top. I think mine was finally tuned for 11.3 AFR.

Did steve mention anything about your boost being inconsistent at the top end? Like fluctuating a bit?

Sounds only like the Int-X and I don't blame him. Its convoluted and archaic.

Who said anything about the supercharger? I'm only talking about the Interceptor X. I can make the supercharger do anything I want. It does not fluctuate pressure at the top. It can't. It's not like a turbocharger.

This isn't the first engine I've ever tuned. It's not even the first EFI I've ever run. I built my own EFI systems starting in 1988.

I don't want to publish my complaints about this system in public. If you want to know ask me by pm.

The hardware comes pre-configured. There is no way to set it up to operate the injection scheme differently from the way it comes wired and the injection scheme is kinda dumb (gangs the P2s and secondaries together; uses hard-set transition points for ganging ans staging).
Plus, the software looks like something cobbled together in DOS 10 years ago. All of the terminology is cryptic and the tables are crude.

All in all, it is old technology ported to a modern vehicle.

Almost all of the competeing stand-alone systems have far superior software and can be configured through that software rather than through board options.
If you want a perspective, download the AEM software here and compare. It is night and day.
The AEM can do pretty much everything the OEM PCM can and for barely a few hundred more than the Microtech.
If you really wanted to save a few $$$ and liked the convoluted nature of the Microtech, you could pick up a used AEM for an RX-7 and port it over with little effort.

All of the terminology is cryptic...

the half-acronym, half-abbreviations

still, i'm glad the interceptor is out. gives something more useful than the emangle for those who don't want to have to wire all that crap up themselves. i do tons of haltech stuff, so i can't wait 'till they teach their computer how to read the crank sensor. (wtf is the holdup on that, btw?)

Sorry for the belated response. Yes, I have the same GReddy + Interceptor setup. Steve was tuning it for 10 psi and the boost dropped down to about 3 or 4psi at around 7500 rpm. He didn't find any leaks, although it was a hot day and about 104 degrees at the dyno. Still, no other car dynod that day had that wide of a margin.
