At $6,700 for just the parts you will find very little non-vendor based information on that Kit here. But a search for ‘ SSR+Turbo ‘ will get you started in the right places. As a newbie to the rotary you will need to find and pay for the expertise to install and tune it. If your not mechanically inclined this can become a $10,000 mod for you. Adding a turbo to this car is not a bolt on for most and voids the warranty. If this is a route you can afford to do you need to spend lots of time reading the threads on the Greddy turbo that are all over the place. In one of those threads you might find an owner near your that has a turbo, or a shop by you that has done a turbo for an RX-8.

Wow expo. Great response. Its a little refreshing to have someone help-out a newb instead of flaming. You are truly bad as can.

Bravery, start by asking yourself how fast you need it to be. Then ask yourself how much time and effort you are willing to put into learning about and working on your 8. If you are willing to do your homework, have some mechanical inclination, and can trouble shoot, you can get a fine turbo on your car for about $4k and be putting down close to 300HP.

Ask yourself how much you need. We have a kit that can get you to about 260-300 whp for about $5K when all is said & done (Greddy). We will shortly have kits that will give you 350+ whp for about $10K when all is said & done. SFR/SSR has their kit, PTP Motorsports will have theirs coming out.
