The point is not being able to meet the date everytime, in several occasions.
I'd prefer to be told "we will post it sometime next week" than we'll post it on monday and not post anything. That makes you lose confidence. And by the way SSR, why should I call the dyno shop since you are the one trying to sell the product??? Remember you have competitors, if you had a monopoly that'd work differently, but not in this case.
LS
It just seems that you guys have doubts in our claims, when you can call and verify tbe claims with an unbiased shop. If we were trying to hide anything, why would we feel comfortable letting you speak to an unbiased source?

I am not doubting anything, all i am saying is why should i call the shop when is you who should give this info to us???
All i am saying is if you wanna build respect among people (as a brand) you should deliver what you promise, in this case the dyno you have been promising for over a month now.
You just don't seem to get the point, but hey, whatever it is your business. I took mine elsewhere...

You don't get the point dude, forget it. It is not the horsepower that it makes, is what you promise. You promise the other chart with the new injectors and making almost 300 WHP. We have been waiting for it a long time. If you doont have time to post it or don't want to, simply don't promise it and we don''t expect anything else from you. That's all.

Like I said before, it is your business, leave it or take it. I took my business elsewhere (and it's not because i can't afford this kit).. Because that's probably what you are gonna say top deviate the subject again

I thought that's why you wanted us to give you a free kit?

In all truth, the Greddy kit appeals to some, our kit appeals to some since they are apples and oranges Good luck with your greddy kit.

No, I did want you to exchange the kit for publicity ( it is not free) not because I could not afford it but simply because I don't want to spend 8k in a kit that i dont know if it will work. Hope it does, but did not want to take the chance.

Nothing is free in this life, I have learned that. And if you don't know how marketing works (which I have noticed you are not so expert on it) let me tell you that advertising is expensive and makes a good return on your investment.
Just an advice, again i was not asking it for free but you don't seem to understand that.

Anyways, good luck with your project.

It's not that we aren't good at marketing, but we have limited funds for marketing, everyone starts somewhere. Obviously we can't compete with a multi-million dollar manufacturer (greddy), but we make up for it by coming on these boards and talking to all of you guys and getting tech questions out of the way etc.

Whatever.

Get conformed with what u get (charts promised and not posted and thing like that) and you are good to go. Do not complain later about promises not delivered. I don't plan to write here again anyways. However, will follow the thread because i still have an interest in this kit.

Hey Lschiavo, You have the right to post , just like me. I'am just saying let's not be so hard on these guys and time will tell what's good and what's not out there... The FI is just starting to hit the market let's see what they have and not scare away anyone else who is thinking of bringing out other FI systems for our car...

That is one screwed up dyno pull. I wouldn't go around showing that in front of an informed audience if you intend to sell any kits.
BTW - you didn't even take the engine to its HP peak.

In fact, you are actually quite horrible at it.

The problem is, you came on with so much lead to market that you can't possibly live up to your own hype.
Even if the kit is absolutely killer and makes the RX-8 the greatest, most powerful car ever built, you have still shot yourself in the foot.
Now, of course, we realize that your market aspirations are only in the tens of kits sold in order to make it profitable, but you are very quickly treading into the same deep water that Thomas Knight did with his business.

jeff this dyno printout is before the new injectors were installed...it simply wasn't pushing enought fuel in at peak...or so they tell us

I want to see dyno after the new injectors

I'm not sure if you were being sarcastic, but I'm pretty sure Lschiavo is the 2003 North American Star Mazda Series Champion. I think that qualifies.

That said, SSR, can you give an update on development? Will there be any track evaluation in the near future?

Thanks Zaku, but I still can't afford a turbo kit. I can afford to have an 8 and race in a pro series but a turbo?? no way!!! Lol. That is why i asked SSR to "give me a free turbo" LOL. I am not sure if they understand what marketing and signage is, they think it cost nothing, that is why they call it "free". That is why Marlboro does not pay Ferrari 400 Million US a year, because it is "free". Oh i forgot, Schumacher can't afford a Marlboro Pack, that is why Ferrari ask Marlboro for free cigarretes for him. :D

If only the money I make racing could be enough to buy a turbo.... I would certainly have a life...

Look man, I'm sure you're qualified and make enough money for a turbo kit, but that doesn't mean you're better than them. They may not be the best advertisers, but what's it to you? They didn't sign a contract to give you dynos, they are just doing what they can to provide you with any information. They are bound by no one to share their info and they aren't hiding anything, they're just a busy bunch of guys. I'll never understand why people get so upset when everything isn't given to them. If you are upset about the way they are handling things, PM them or just stop posting. If I was inappropriate mods, delete my post, but I'm quite sure something like this needed to be said. However, since these kinds of posts happen so often my post may have been a waste of time.

The kit has been completed, the final numbers are 287WHP @ 8 PSI, the track results would be up to the customer since it was his car.

We state that as the BASELINE dyno pull, not the final tuned one which we will get scanned and posted shortly, thanks for being patient.

But for those of you that are wondering if we are done with this kit, yes we are done with the r&d, the car has been returned to the customer and he is very happy with the result
