wonder if he's willing to ship it
don't care if it fits an 8 or not
I'll have to make my own mounts to mount it to the chassis anyway

here's some pics of the tear down and heavy stuff in the trailer
oh ran into my first real issue
remember how I was supposed to leave that LCD display ribbon at the top of the radio but, it's fine to take that radio out?
well that same ribbon plugs into the radio so the car may not crank now lol
I haven't tried it yet because the battery is out
still more stripping to be done...

If you are planning to remove the factory glass and run lexan make sure it is legal for the class you intend to run. There are a lot of organizations and classes that prohibit lexan or composite windows. It would SUCK to pull all the factory glass out and be told you can't run it.

It's legal in NASA (what I'll mainly be running in), PCA, Darkside, Just Track It, MVP Tracktime
not sure about SCCA...their rules confuse me lol

from the 2013 rules...they made some good changes this year
Front driver and passenger side fixed/Lexan windows are specifically not permitted unless they are factory installed during the manufacturing of the vehicle.

C. The following are permitted exceptions to 6.2.3.1)d above:
3) Lexan front, rear, and rear side windows without uncovered holes.
also for anyone that cares the TT1/TT2/TT3/TTU rules are MUCH more lenient towards roll cages with very few regulations allowing for some pretty wild cages
this is not the case in TTB - TTD...very strict regs

Nice, as I recall NASA had some restrictive rules about lexan a couple of years ago. I know there was a issue about running them for a bunch of the Evo TT guys who also run in GTA. I wouldn't mind going to a lexan front, but no point unless I run TT1 and I don't have the $$$ it takes to be competitive at that P/W.

yep they made exceptions to the rules this year
I think the problem was people having holes in the windows for less air resistance
that's why they still emphasize "without uncovered holes"

There is no exaggeration when I say that we have lost >300lbs
There is still a bit more to go...under the car, exhaust, oil system, CF roof, bumper supports, etc
granted we will gain a good bit back with the the cage
the car is deafening without the catback...planning on dumping the exhaust out right in front of the rear wheel but, will need to add another resonator
not sure if the DSC/ABS are working...if necessary I'll just hook the cluster back up and hide it under the dash
custom dash will be lighter, look better, give me a place to mount the AiM MXL, and provide more clearance for the cage...a lot of wasted space under the stock dash
it's really uncharted territory messing with the cluster/canbus/etc...all the teams I've talked to said the car won't even run without them...it will
from what I can tell nobody really knows...even the pros
oh if anyone has a wiring diagram for the 8 that would REALLY come in handy right now lol
