If you ever got T-boned in the driver side of either of those you'd likely be having a vacation in the hospital for a while along with a lengthy follow up recovering at home. Those cages are not designed for serious door-door racing and would not be acceptable by any decent tracking organization. This is more what you need for side protection if you value limb and soul:

not to mention their harnesses are almost useless with those mounting points
I do envy their engine builds though
I'll post a few pics of the door cages soon enough
they are more along these lines (NASCAR style)

I've seen enough cars spin or get pushed off and then catch a wall opening, etc. in the door where nobody thought it was possible. I can't believe Time Attack would allow that on a track car. I suppose they will wait and learn the hard way ... my sympathy for whoever it is that has to either die or be mangled for life first before somebody wises up.

I watched a wreck at Road Atlanta that a good cage saved a man's life without a doubt
after a few barrel rolls the car was carried away in pieces and the cage was still very much in tact

Another example of the benefit of a proper cage (though somewhat different race environment than you might deal with). I believe they just had some bruises. No serious injuries.

This guy is in a league that doesn't allow cages. The track is the shorter version but they are still reaching speeds of 80mph. CRazy. They've got mini circuits and we've got circle track racing.

I spent about 1hr watching those crash videos since they would just keep linking to others. Ended with the Senna crash.
Levi, keep the door bars on if it doesnt alter the design since the nascar style door bars usually curve outword into the door.

Sorry guys...been swamped lately
Work has been crazy and the guy doing a lot of the work on the car has been busy as well
Back on track now...most of the parts are in
5.12 ring & pinion is going in now and also the new fuel cell/pump/regulator
Next up on the list is mounting the wing...not sure if we are going through the trunk lid or behind it yet
After that comes the new oil system...changing the stock (8) hose system for a simplier 3 hose system and may possibly make it a single cooler system which would bring it down to a 2 hose setup...seeking advice from a few members now
Other parts laying around are some Ron Davis radiators...I think I'll keep this one under my hat for now
Full lexan window/windshield set
Sparco EVO ll seats
Sparco suede steering wheel
G-Force 6-pt harnesses
Ohlins shocks. ..Swift springs
A few aftermarket bumpers we've been playing around with...think I'll keep the rest of the aero quiet for now too
Still looking for a vented hood, and need to order the CF roof

Weird, I posted a long response to this thread last night and it's gone, 
Anyway, stick with the stock oil coolers in the stock locations, just remove the stock lines and the thermostats in the coolers (I just cut them and left the threaded part to use as a plug). That will help with flow. Then just make -10AN lines with direct routes; Engine --> drivers side cooler -->Passenger side cooler-->engine. You can run a proper oil thermostat if you are worried about over cooling.

But with my turbo I never have an issue with oil being too cool, I'm not sure how it is with a SC. But for a track car I would think it would be fine.
I used all Fragola push lock fittings and hose. If you info just let me know but the routing is pretty easy. The -10AN adapters needed for the engine and stock coolers are the same.
